POLICE BOOKING FORM
COVID-19 NOTICE with immediate effect
Due to not being able to access the Healthcare Professional at Guildford we are no longer able other to support VAI’s at Guildford Police Station. Once Guildford Custody refurbishment is completed AA support for VAI’s will be reinstated.
Appropriate Adults are now only available for Voluntary Attendance Interviews (VAI’s) carried out at Staines Police Station and Salfords VAI suite.
Any booking form submitted after 16.00 hours on a Friday will not be processed until the following Monday and therefore classed as a Monday submission. A minimum of 48 hours NOTICE, Monday to Friday is necessary in order to ensure a trained Appropriate Adult can attend an appointment.
SAAVS members will only attend where a police officer is on hand to meet with them, to provide a briefing and to supervise the introduction to the interviewee. SAAVS volunteers are not permitted to take responsibility for young people whilst attending these appointments. This remains the responsibility of the police.
SAAVS office will respond to each request during normal office hours Monday to Friday and provide confirmation of a trained SAAVS member’s availability as soon as possible. Please provide at least 48 hours notice in order to be able to supply as required.
