Your data is being collected on behalf of SAAVS for the purpose of processing your application to become a voluntary Appropriate Adult working with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

In order to comply with UK Data Protection Legislation, we need to ensure that we have your permission to store your personal information on our database. We are committed to treating your data with the utmost care and take appropriate steps to protect it. You have many rights regarding your personal data including seeing what data we process and updating your information. We will only use your information for the purposes described above and will not share your information with third parties.

Please note, the fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. We ask you to provide this information to help us process your application as quickly as possible.

We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”). We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. We may share your personal data with third parties where required by law or where we have another legitimate interest in doing so. This means that once you stop volunteering for SAAVS we will retain your contact details and report forms for the longer of the period that we are required to keep records for the police and/or Surrey County Council (six years).
